5th Annual
Thank You For Helping us Bring Back The Light!
Not a single thing about it came easy this year. We couldn’t find a caterer, we couldn’t find entertainment, we couldn’t find a photographer, our website went boom. I could literally go on and on and on about the obstacles over the last few months.
25 days ago we were faced with the decision of possibly canceling/postponing Pink Tie Gala because our sales were not where we anticipated.
I challenged the ladies to pray about the gala for the next week. I challenged them not to pray that our ticket sales skyrocket, but pray that in whatever capacity this Pink Tie Gala is meant to happen that it will happen.
I kept saying all along that I felt like something great was meant to be heard at this Pink Tie Gala because the devil was working overtime to try to prevent it from happening.
I had not met our speaker prior to yesterday. I had zero expectations.
Holy moly.
Jean Davis was absolutely incredible. Her joy in living could light a dark planet.
I urge you to listen after it is posted.
We had so many local businesses step up and support the Pink Tie Gala this year and we salute you.
Jonah Carden was amazing and DJ Kimberly kept the people on the dance floor upstairs.
It all came together.
We laughed, we cried, we ate, we drank, we sang, we danced, we remembered those we have lost and we celebrated life.
It was perfectly imperfect, just like you and me.
And it may have been my favorite Pink Tie Gala to date.
I hope you woke up this morning and looked out your window and saw the beautiful sunshine, took in the changing of the fall leaves, relished the family and friends in your life, and gave thanks for it all. Life is precious. LIVING is precious.
Give us a few days to let the dust settle and we will let you know what was raised for GLOW. Your donations will allow us to provide gifts of love to those fighting cancer in our community.
Thank you so much to everyone who made Pink Tie Gala a success.
Every dollar raised makes a difference. It’s more than dollars raised though. It’s hope and it’s love. It’s Giving Light to Our Warriors.
WEREN'T ABLE TO ATTEND THIS YEAR?
Please consider making a donation to GLOW. Your donations will allow us to provide gifts of love to those fighting cancer in our community.
